How fast can you start a project?
Most shoots are scheduled 2–4 weeks out. Mini shoots can sometimes happen the same week if the brief is clear and locations are nearby. Retainer slots open quarterly — enquire early to hold one.
Are you a photographer, videographer, or UGC creator?
All three — that's the point. Photography and video lead the work; reels and UGC are built from the same shoot in the same visual language. You can also book photography or video on its own.
Who actually shoots and edits the work?
I direct, shoot and edit every project personally, with a small trusted crew of producers, stylists and creators brought in per brief. You're not handed off to a junior — every frame goes through me.
How are revisions and review rounds handled?
Two structured review rounds are included on every project — one on the photo selects, one on the video edit. Feedback is given in Frame.io for video and a private gallery for stills, so notes stay clear and trackable. Additional rounds are quoted at a flat rate, never billed by the hour.
Do you travel for shoots, and how is travel charged?
Yes. The studio is based in Byron Bay, NSW and shoots worldwide — most projects involve travel. Domestic Australian travel is built into the quote. International travel is added at cost — itemised, not marked up. Recent shoots: Australia, Bali, Portugal, the United States, Canada.
What does turnaround look like?
Photography selects within 2 weeks. Reels and short-form within 2–3 weeks. Cinematic brand films and full campaigns: 4–6 weeks including review rounds. Retainer clients get priority handling on all of the above.
Can we use the content for paid ads and licensing?
Standard delivery includes a 12-month licence across owned channels and paid social. Extended usage, broadcast, OOH and creator likeness rights are quoted per project so you only pay for what you actually need. Talent and model releases are handled in pre-production.
Do we get the raw files?
Final colour-graded photography and finished video edits are yours under the agreed licence. Raw stills and unedited video footage stay with the studio as standard practice — they're working files, not deliverables. If you need a specific frame or clip we didn't select, ask and it's usually no issue.
What happens if the weather doesn't cooperate?
For outdoor shoots, every quote includes one weather call — free to reschedule within a 14-day window if conditions are clearly unworkable. Most coastal and travel shoots are planned with two weather windows already factored in.
How is this different from hiring an agency or a freelancer?
No account managers, no junior pass-offs, no four-week creative deck cycles. You work directly with the person shooting and editing the work. Faster than an agency, more strategic than a freelancer, and the photo, video, reels and UGC come back in one voice instead of four.
Can I cancel or pause a retainer?
After the 3-month minimum, retainers move to rolling monthly. You can pause for a month or end the retainer with 30 days' notice — no penalty, no awkward conversation. The slot returns to the queue.
How do payments work?
50% deposit to lock the date, 50% on final delivery. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Australian businesses are invoiced in AUD with GST; international clients in AUD or USD by request. Bank transfer or Wise.
